SHANGHAI, Aug 28 (SMM) – In the 5th batch of qualified enterprises, 12 lead-acid battery manufacturers in China met industrial requirements set by the central government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) posted on its website on Tuesday Aug 28. The information is open for public comments until September 12.
This batch would bring the total number of qualified lead-acid battery manufacturers to 144.
In May 2012, the MIIT announced the Lead-acid Battery Industry Access Conditions, which took effect from July 1, in a bid to regulate and optimise the industry. The document identified requirements across various aspects to improve industry access.
