China’s social inventory of zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong barely changed over the weekend

SHANGHAI, Aug 13 (SMM) – China’s social inventory of zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong was little changed over the weekend as inflows of imported materials went directly to downstream consumers, SMM research found as of Monday August 13.

Some materials also flowed into other warehouses not registered with the SHFE.

The inventory came in at 123,100 mt as of Monday, up a slight 300 mt from last Friday and up 9,600 mt from last Monday, SMM data showed.

Stocks are unlikely to decrease this week as production at some smelters would recover from maintenance works.
