SHANGHAI, Jul 13 (SMM) – To address air pollution, the Tangshan government in Hebei province required all sintering machines and shaft furnaces in its central and south-east areas to suspend during July 13-18, SMM learned.
The affected areas include Lunan, Lubei, Kaiping, Guye, Fengrun, Fengnan districts, Luan, Luannan and Leting Counties.
Coking duration at all coke plants across these areas have to be extended to 36 hours.
Lime kilns, foundries, rolling mills, cement plants and grinding stations are also required to suspend.
