Lithium carbonate supply of 1,300 mt to be affected on maintenance

SHANGHAI, Jul 2 (SMM) – A listed, Sichuan-based lithium salt company recently put its production base in Jiangsu province under maintenance, SMM learned.

This move is likely to last for one month and affect some 1,300 mt of lithium carbonate supply.

As of Monday July 2, battery-grade lithium carbonate fell below the 120,000 yuan/mt level, according to SMM assessments. Only two major companies offered firmly above that level – one in Sichuan and the other in Jiangxi.
