All steel mills in Wuhu resumed their production from the week-long production cut and suspension over the weekend

SHANGHAI, Jul 2 (SMM) – All steel mills in Wuhu, Anhui province, resumed their production from the week-long production cut and suspension on Sunday July 1, SMM learned.

On June 25, steel mills in Wuhu were required by the municipal government to suspend or cut production to the end of June as the region’s total discharge of air pollutants in the second quarter failed to meet the standard.

A 1,280 m³ blast furnace at Wuhu Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes shut down from June 26, with daily production of 3,000 mt being affected, while full production at Wuhu Fuxin Iron and Steel ceased from the same day, with rebar output of 6,000 mt being affected per day.
