SHANGHAI, Jun 20 (SMM) – Chinese output of rebar in May rose 3.6% year on year and stood at 17.74 million mt, according to data by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday June 20.
Rebar production in the first five months of 2018 grew 11% from the same period last year and registered at 81.47 million mt.
Output of wire rods in May increased 9.3% on the year and amounted to 12.13 million mt. This brought output of wire rods in the first five months to 54.51 million mt, up 6.3% year on year.
