Nickel ore port inventory up 380,000 wmt on the week

Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports increased 380,000 wmt from a week ago to 8.16 million wmt as of Friday June 15

SHANGHAI, Jun 15 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports increased 380,000 wmt from a week ago to 8.16 million wmt as of Friday June 15, SMM data showed.

The overall port inventories stood at 67,000 mt in Ni content, up 3,000 mt from a week ago.

Nickel ore stocks across seven major Chinese ports grew 560,000 wmt from the previous week and registered 5.77 million wmt.

SMM prices of Ni1.5% ore average stood at $73.5/wmt on a cif basis on July 9, unchanged from a week earlier. Nickel ore prices remained stable this week. Quotations remained high but the mainstream traded prices in the market remained at CIF $72-75/wmt.
