Operating rates at zinc oxide producers to dip further in Jun

Operating rates across Chinese zinc oxide producers stood at 54.4% in May.

SHANGHAI, Jun 12 (SMM) – Operating rates across Chinese zinc oxide producers stood at 54.4% in May, down 2.73 percentage points month on month and down 2.42 percentage points year on year, SMM research found.

A few zinc oxide producers told SMM that they received fewer orders given the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit held earlier this month.

SMM estimates the operating rates across Chinese zinc oxide producers to dip 0.39 percentage point to 54% in June, based on the production plans of the surveyed companies.
