Steel mills in Shandong resume operation after SCO

Steel mills in Laiwu city of Shandong province began to resume operation from Tuesday June 12 as environmental cuts were lifted after the SCO summit ended on June 1

SHANGHAI, Jun 12 (SMM) – Steel mills in Laiwu city of Shandong province began to resume operations from Tuesday June 12 as environmental cuts were lifted after the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit ended on June 11, SMM surveyed. 

In Lianyungang city, production cuts across steel mills such as Binxin, Yaxin, and Xinxing, were lifted as of June 12. It will take a day or two for them to return to regular operation, SMM learned.

Steelmakers in Linyi city remain suspended and are expected to restart production from June 15.
