Aluminium inventory dips for five straight weeks on fewer deliveries

SHANGHAI, Jun 7 (SMM) – China's inventory of primary aluminium, including SHFE warrants, shrank 55,000 mt from last Thursday to stand at 1.98 million mt as of Thursday June 7, SMM data showed. Fewer deliveries arrived at warehouses in south China and the commissioning of new production capacity slowed.

The drop marked a fifth consecutive week of decline. 

Details are as follows:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 817,000 mt

Shanghai – 442,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 284,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 192,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 121,000 mt

Tianjin – 61,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 31,000 mt

Chongqing – 29,000 mt
