A copper cathode project with an annual capacity of 100,000 mt at Qinghai Copper began trial production on Tuesday May 29

SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – A copper cathode project with an annual capacity of 100,000 mt at Qinghai Copper began trial production on Tuesday May 29, SMM learned.

It is expected that copper cathode will be produced a month from May 29.

In 2017, China produced around 8 million mt of copper cathode, SMM data showed.
