RCs of imported blister copper fall from early May

As of Wednesday May 23, refining charges (RCs) of imported blister copper dipped from the start of May as demand slowed and imports declined

SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – As of Wednesday May 23, refining charges (RCs) of imported blister copper dipped from the start of May as demand slowed and imports declined, SMM learned. 

On May 23, RCs stood at $200-230/mt cif and 1,700-1,900 yuan/mt for goods delivered to factory at domestic smelters. This compared with $220-240/mt cif and 1,800-2,000 yuan/mt on May 9. 

RCs began to climb from the start of March, when they stood above 1,300 yuan/mt.
