Inventories down 14.8% across major steelmakers in late Apr

Inventories across major steelmakers sharply fell 14.8% to 12.44 million mt on April 30 from the level seen on April 20, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association

SHANGHAI, May 14 (SMM) – Inventories across major steelmakers sharply fell 14.8% to 12.44 million mt on April 30 from the level seen on April 20, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

Average daily output of crude steel across 96 major Chinese steel mills during April 21-30 stood at 1.91 million mt, down 0.05% from the level seen during April 11-20,
