China’s daily crude steel output up 5% in early-Apr

Average daily output of crude steel across 96 major Chinese steel mills during April 1-10 stood at 1.88 million mt, up 5% from the level seen during March 21-31, according to CISA.

SHANGHAI, Apr 24 (SMM) – Average daily output of crude steel across 96 major Chinese steel mills during April 1-10 stood at 1.88 million mt, up 5% from the level seen during March 21-31, according to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

Meanwhile, these mills produced 17.14 million mt of pig iron, 17.4 million mt of steel products, and 3.43 million mt of coke, with average daily output up 7.1%, down 1% and up 3.34% from March 21-31, respectively.
