SHANGHAI, Apr 13 (SMM) – Operating rates across galvanising plants grew 34.1 percentage points month-on-month in March and stood at 67.8%, SMM research showed. This growth is likely to continue in April, according to production schedules.
Increasing orders in April will drive operating rates if the current environmental situation remains stable and does not affect production.
Despite suspensions on environmental concerns, galvanising plants in north China received brisk orders as the industry entered the high season in March. Production in south China also recovered from the Chinese New Year holiday in February.
