SHANGHAI, Apr 12 (SMM) – Copper spot premiums in the south China market climbed to 220-250 yuan/mt on Wednesday April 11 as sellers slowed down destocking, SMM learned. This compared with premiums of 150-180 yuan/mt on Tuesday April 10.

Supplies were tight in south China's copper spot market this week. Sellers were unwilling to let go cargos in anticipation of lower value-added tax from May 1.
