SHANGHAI, Apr 9 (SMM) – Prices of rare earth were firm for the most part with small drops seen in several products last week. 

While most separation plants tended to hold back, some traders lowered prices to boost transactions. Prices of didymium oxide, neodymium oxide, dysprosium oxide, and terbium oxide edged down amid limited trading activity.

Market participants would look for cues from the April listed prices to be released by China Northern Rare Earth (Group) this week. The downward trend is likely to remain in the short term if the prices lack stronger support from favourable factors.
