SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – The copper spot market in Shanghai saw brisk transactions on Tuesday April 3 as premiums were offered at 30-100 yuan/mt against the SHFE 1804 contract. This compared with a discount of 110-40 yuan/mt on Monday April 2. Sellers took control of the market, while traders and downstream consumers were keen to stock for the Qingming Festival holiday, SMM learned.
Standard-quality copper traded at 50,350-50,670 yuan/mt, while high-quality copper traded at 50,370 -50,700 yuan/mt.
