Snapshot: Tin spot market in Shanghai

Trading in the tin spot market in Shanghai was flat with prices mostly at 140,500-141,600 yuan/mt on Thursday March 29.

SHANGHAI, Mar 29 (SMM) – Trading in the tin spot market in Shanghai was flat on Thursday March 29, with prices mostly at 140,500-141,600 yuan/mt, SMM learned.

Smelters offered prices at high levels, while more cargoes of cheaper, smaller brands were seen in the market. Some downstream consumers bought at low prices.

Yunnan Tin's products traded at a premium of 600-700 yuan/mt while other brands from the province traded at a premium of 0-200 yuan/mt. Smaller brands traded at a discount of 200-300 yuan/mt today.
