SHANGHAI, Mar 28 (SMM) – Silicon plants in north China, especially in Xinjiang, are now keener to destock after a week of slow transactions grew inventories, SMM learned. All grades of silicon products saw lower offers as of Wednesday March 28.
If prices continue to decline, maintenance works scheduled for May-June are likely to be brought forward. A lower operation rate will provide some support to silicon prices.
