Output of lithium-ion battery cathode materials in China surged 49.5% from 2016 and stood at 323,000 mt in 2017, according to the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association

SHANGHAI, Mar 28 (SMM) – Output of lithium-ion battery cathode materials in China surged 49.5% from 2016 and stood at 323,000 mt in 2017, according to data from the lithium group of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

Data also showed that consumption of lithium carbonate rose 52.1% from 2016 and stood at 110,000 mt.
