Flash: China's daily output of crude steel down in early-Mar

Average daily output of crude steel across major Chinese steel mills during March 1-10 fell 7.8% from February 21-28, according to the China Iron and Steel Association.

SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) – Average daily output of crude steel across major Chinese steel mills during March 1-10 fell 7.8% from February 21-28, according to the China Iron and Steel Association.

Output stood at 1.73 million mt during March 1-10 and at 1.88 million mt during February 21-28.

China's average daily output of crude steel is estimated to be 2.18 million during March 1-10, down 5.1% from 2.3 million mt during February 21-28.

Steel inventories at major steelmakers stood at 14.68 million mt as of March 10, up 5.1% from 13.97 million mt on February 28.
