SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) – Trading in China's aluminium spot market was lacklustre on Wednesday March 21. Sellers were active while downstream consumers only purchased as needed, SMM learned.
As the SHFE 1804 contract fell and stayed rangebound at lows before the midday closure, transactions in the Shanghai market were heard at 13,690-13,710 yuan/mt, at a discount of 120-110 yuan/mt against the contract. Trades in Wuxi were seen at 13,690-13,710 yuan/mt, with those in Hangzhou were seen at 13,700-13,720 yuan/mt.
Transactions in the Guangdong market were heard at 13,700-13,720 yuan/mt. The difference in prices between Shanghai and Guangdong hovered around 20 yuan/mt.
