SHANGHAI, Feb 13 (SMM) – China's manganese supply is expected to stay relatively tight after Chinese New Year with prices remaining until mid-March, considering the production cuts during the holiday season and the recovery process afterwards, SMM believes.
While output in February is expected to be higher than levels seen in January, according to an SMM survey, it would still be lower than usual. Some smelters would operate as per normal, others plan to suspend their operations for one to two weeks.
