SHANGHAI, Feb 5 (SMM) – A gas leak at Baosteel Group’s Shaoguan Iron and Steel in Guangdong province in the early morning of Monday February 5 killed eight people, and investigations of the incident are underway. SMM learned that a rebar production line has been suspended and about 5,000 mt of daily output is affected. It is unclear when production would resume.
