Flash: Hebei has no plans to extend winter cuts

SHANGHAI, Feb 1 (SMM) – The government of Hebei province said it has no plans to extend the winter production cut policy for another two months, SMM learned.

Earlier today, market talks suggested that Hebei was mulling over extending the policy till May 15 in a bid to improve air quality. SMM reported that no steel mills had received such notice.
