China’s installed capacity of motive batteries for new-energy vehicles reached 37.06Gwh in 2017, according to local information provider China Battery Enterprise Alliance.
December saw a surge in the installed capacity at 12.15Gwh, up 72% from the previous month, the report noted.
China’s output of new-energy vehicles in December amounted to 214,854 units, among which 54% of them were passenger cars, 19% of them coaches and 27% special purpose vehicles.
