SHANGHAI, Dec 21 (SMM)-Tin smelters in Gejiu city in Yunnan province have gradually resumed production as a major environmental inspection tour came to an end, sources told SMM.
Plants including Yunnan Chengfeng, Gejiu Nonferrous Metals Processing, Gejiu Kaimeng, Gejiu Jinye and Gejiu Yunxin have all claimed to see their production coming back, while operations at Gejiu Zili have yet to resume.
Market participants believed supply of tin ingots in Yunnan would increase from next week onward.
