Huayuan County to accept major environmental inspection, what’s the influence on zinc production?

Huayuan County has an abundant resource of minerals of over 20 kinds of ascertained minerals.

SHANGHAI, Dec.11 (SMM)－Huayuan County has an abundant resource of minerals of over 20 kinds of ascertained minerals. Zinc and lead reserve exceeds 5.23 million tons of metal content, with 1 million metal content tons of maintain reserves.

Mining plants in this region have stopped production 2-3 days before the major environmental inspection. Local zinc smelters are in normal operation but raw materials inventory is limited.

SMM predicts output of local zinc smelters will be influenced if the inspection continues.
