SHANGHAI, Dec.11 (SMM)－Recently see reduced or limited production of lead smelters in many places. Lead concentrate supply shrinks distinctly.
Primary lead smelters in Henan Province have limited their production by 20-50% due to short supply of natural gas, according to SMM research. Also, with no inventory of local lead ingots for scattered orders, some smelters are in supply shortage even for long-term orders. Secondary lead smelters in Anhui Province mainly reduce production by 10-40% due to shortage of natural gas.
Shipment of local smelters fluctuates along with market changes, with few inventory. Most plants say the profit is very low.
