China’s Domestic Bauxite Consumption Drops 2.51% in November

China’s domestic bauxite consumption is 8.15 million tons in November, dropping 2.51% on monthly basis.

SHANGHAI, Dec.7 (SMM)－China’s domestic bauxite consumption is 8.15 million tons in November, dropping 2.51% on monthly basis. Total bauxite consumption from January to November reaches 88.9 million tons, rising 11.2% on yearly basis.

In November, most alumina plants in Henan Province reduced production by 10%. Some alumina plants in Shanxi Province also decline in production due to green policies. Hence, domestic bauxite consumption slightly drops in November.

In the end of November, bauxite inventory increases on alumina plants due to weakened demand and rising supply.
