Smelters Fails to Reach Agreement with Mining Enterprises on TC of Copper Concentrate

As per six industrial insiders, China’s copper smelters fails to reach agreement with mining enterprises on TC of copper concentrate.

SHANGHAI, Dec.1 (SMM)-As per six industrial insiders, China’s copper smelters fails to reach agreement with mining enterprises on TC of copper concentrate, which will prolong the negotiation into 2018, because both sides are disputing on short supply and demand. Two trade insiders say the lowest price offered this week is $72.80 per ton and 7.28 cent per pound but t hither two trade insiders and a mining dealer says it would be rational if the price is $78 per ton and 7.8 cent per pound. All 4 metal traders predict both sides will reach an agreement around $85 per ton or 8.5 cent per pound.
