Scrap Copper Output to Surge in Future

Zhou Sheng, director of International Copper Association in China says, during first half year of 2017 domestic scrap copper output has reached 1.35 million tons, rising 8% on yearly basis.

SHANGHAI, Nov.28 (SMM)-Zhou Sheng, director of International Copper Association in China says, during first half year of 2017 domestic scrap copper output has reached 1.35 million tons, rising 8% on yearly basis. The recovery amount is closed to mine output in China. During the 13th-Five-Year Plan, copper used in electric products, autos and building construction will be scrapped intensively. In 2020, China’s scarp copper output will reach 2.8 million tons.
