SMM Exclusive Morning Comments (2017-11-27)

SHANGHAI, Nov.27 (SMM)-

Copper: Today LME Copper is estimated to move between $6,985 and $7,035 per ton. Main contract of SHFE Copper is to move between 54,200~54,700 yuan per ton. For spot market, downstream enterprises keeps purchasing with rigid demand more actively than previous time. Today premium is to move between discount 150-80 yuan per ton.

Aluminium: Today SHFE Aluminium is to move above 5-day moving average at 15,000-15,180 yuan per ton. Spot premium is to move between discount 180-140 yuan per ton.

Lead: SHFE Lead has moved above 5-day and 10-day moving averages with insufficient upward impetus. With upper pressure of 20-day moving average. In morning it is expected to reorganize and attempt to break 20-day moving average.

Zinc: SHFE Zinc keeps relatively week. With light transaction in spot market and less driving effect of foreign markets, the situation that domestic market performs inferior to  foreign markets has been intensified. Today LME Zinc is to move between 25,250 nand 25,680 yuan ton. Today see China’s profits made by industrial enterprises above designated size in October.

Tin: SHFE Tin opened high but moved low during night session last Friday. Despite upward core, good news of tin plants in Yunnan seems has limited influence. Today it is estimated to keep volatile with main range of 142,500-144,000 yuan per ton.  

Nickel: Today main contract 1805 of SHFE Nickel is to move between 95,400-97,000 yuan per ton, with spot price at 95,200-96,200 yuan per ton. Today see China’s profits made by industrial enterprises above designated size.

Malaysia’s Pahang Customs, with support from the Department of Environment, busted a transnational e-waste smuggling ring, seizing 8 containers (~186.7 tonnes) of undeclared “e-waste” falsely listed as copper concentrate to evade import permits. The estimated value of the seized material is ~RM2.15 million, with shipments sourced from Canada, Spain, and Croatia. Authorities confirmed that the goods will be returned to the origin countries in accordance with import prohibition regulations as the investigation continues.
