SHANGHAI, Nov.24 (SMM)-Zhang Zhenpeng, vice director of Shentun Mining Group says, with the supply-side reform policy, great changes have taken place in lead-zinc industry. The reason of short supply of lead-zinc ore is reducing output of mines both home and abroad. Even though the zinc price is so high, output of China’s zinc mines has not risen, which shows great pressure they face of environmental protection and technical transform.

Previously we thought some small and medium sized mines car resume or raise production after transform. But in fact this is impossible. We also see some positive factors, for instance, more mines and smelting plants are focusing on medium and long term development plan of enterprise. Especially in this year, due to shortage of raw materials, many enterprise are taking efforts to consider how to make full use of secondary materials, which is a great promotion of technical progress in this industry. We think this situation will last for a long time, which facilities reasonable utilization of lead-zinc resources in our country.
