Today most metallurgical-grade silicon continues dropping tendency. Non-oxygen 553#FOB drops to $1,820 per tonne.

SHANGHAI, Nov.21 (SMM)-Today most metallurgical-grade silicon continues dropping tendency. Non-oxygen 553#FOB drops to $1,820 per tonne. Recent two weeks see intensive tender of Japanese enterprises but the number is not enough for metallurgical-grade silicon. Since there are many tender participants, the price competition is relatively fierce. Except Japan, other imported countries have a light purchase. With instable domestic silicon price and sufficient stock, their purchase plan is mostly delayed.
