China Stainless Steel Output Reached 2.18 Million Tons in October

China’s stainless steel output is 2,179,600 tons in October, up 2.55% MoM. The total output from January to October is 20.14 million tons, up 6% YoY.

SHANGHAI, Nov 20 (SMM) – China’s stainless steel output is 2,179,600 tons in October, up 2.55% MoM. The total output from January to October is 20.14 million tons, up 6% YoY.

The price was at an increase in most of October, but it slipped slightly at the end of October, still higher than the end of September. The output of #200 rose to 660,600 tons (up 9.0% MoM), #300 down to 1,083,000 tons (down 1.0% MoM) and #400 up to 435,900 tons (up 2.5% MoM).

The growth in October is mainly because the increased output by stainless steel factories in southern China.

The stainless steel factories surveyed by SMM in October were: Taiyuan Iron & Steel, Baosteel, Zhangjiagang Pohang Steel, JISCO, Lianzhong, Taishan Steel, BAOWU, Beihai Chengde, Henan Jinhui, Southwest Stainless Steel, ESS, Tsingshan Dingxin, Tsingshan Yangjiang, Huale Alloy, Fujian Fuxin Special Steel, Yongxing Special Stainless Steel, Sunyon, Jiangsu Delong, Zhongjin Metal, Shangtai and Walsin.
