Steel Mills' Production Cut Performance in North&East China

SHANGHAI, Nov.16 (SMM)－ According to current executive performance from mills in the table above, the total affected pig iron reaches 17.3593 million tonnes during heating season. Handan and Tangshan has implemented production limit since October, with surging execution from now on. Thereinto Wu’an has practiced limit plan strictly from Oct.1st, which has influence on strip steel and section bar. Currently speaking, some plants have limited their blast furnaces but some just clarified limit plan without action. Hence the verification of execution degree remains to be confirmed. SMM will keep following on it. Recently need to focus on inventory change this week and next week, which will reflect whether execution of production limit has reached anticipation. Today air quality in Tangshan is “Excellent”, seeing good effect.
