Export of iron ore from Port Hedland to China declined to 35.2 million tons in October.

SHANGHAI, Nov 14 (SMM) – Export of iron ore from Port Hedland to China declined to 35.2 million tons in October, 4.1% down than 36.7 million tons in September, according to Pilbara ports authority’s data published last Thursday. The export volume of iron ore from Port Hedland dropped to 41 million tons, and in September it was 43.4 million tons. Port Hedland is the biggest port for iron ore export in the world. 3 of the 4 largest iron ore producers in Australia– BHB Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Hancock Prospecting - export their products via the port, while Rio Tinto uses the port of Dampier and Cape Lambert.
