Argentina Supports FMC on Lithium Output Expansion

Catamarca signed an agreement to support FMC’s plan of expanding lithium output in the region.

SHANGHAI, Nov 13 (SMM) – Catamarca signed an agreement to support FMC’s plan of expanding lithium output in the region. Pierre Brondeau, CEO of FMC Corporation, said that 250 – 300 million dollars would be invested into the lithium mines in Catamarca to expand its output of lithium carbonate by at least 20,000 tons.

Higher stockpiles from earlier hoarding have increased traders' willingness to sell, leading to lower scrap prices.
