The Most Numerous Case: 1415.5 Tonnes Imported Foreign Waste being Investigated at Customs

This batch of goods is claimed for zinc ores, actually smelting slag, which is banned imported solid waste in China as they do great harm to the environment.

SHANGHAI, Nov.6 (SMM)-This batch of goods is claimed as zinc ores, actually smelting slag, which is banned imported solid waste in China as they do great harm to the environment. Identified by professional institution, the investigated 51 containers’ “zinc ores” by Xiamen Customs as well as Inspection and Quarantine Bureau are actually solid waste classified as prohibited imported goods. This is also the most numerous banned imported solid waste case concerning the single bill volume since implementation on intensified inspection on foreign waste by General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Public Security and General Administration of Quality Supervision.
