SMM Copper Price Forecast for 2018

Copper price will edge up in 2018, one SMM copper analyst said at SMM Annual Meeting.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 27 (SMM) – Copper price will edge up in 2018, one SMM copper analyst said at SMM Annual Meeting.

LME copper prices will average $6,800-6,900 per tonne in 2018, and the average SHFE copper price should be 53,000 yuan per tonne.

Copper prices opened lower last week. In contrast, the traded prices of copper scrap were high due to tight supply and stockpiling by processing companies after the Mid-Autumn Festival holidays.
