Jiangxi Copper: Discussing on Purchasing Assets in Central Asia and Africa

The group is discussing on purchasing assets of mines and oil refinery, mainly involving Central Asia and Africa. The company is seeking overseas expansion with the government’s “Belt & Road” policy.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 19 (SMM)-Long Ziping, president of Jiangxi Copper Corporation said when interviewed in Beijing, the group is discussing on purchasing assets of mines and oil refinery, mainly involving Central Asia and Africa. The company is seeking overseas expansion with the government’s “Belt & Road” policy. Copper price has been boosted by Chinese new energy vehicles and surging demand of gird. The upward space of copper price this year is limited, with uncertain tendency next year. Most Chinese copper plants including Jiangxi Copper are currently operating in full-capacity. (Bloomberg)
