SHANGHAI, Oct. 18 (SMM)－The final figure of SMM August Zinc Processing Demand Surprise Index is 48 and in September the figure is 63. In October the figure is 49. According to SMM October Zinc Processing Demand Surprise Index, rise of zinc price in October has slowed down, with limited upward impetus.
As per SMM research, the launching rate of mining enterprises in October has dropped, with rise of launching rate of smelting plants. The launching rate of downstream plants is estimated to keep slight drop, with the amount being narrowing. According to monthly balance, supply shortage still exists,, which has shrunk compared with last month. Fundamentals of zinc has been weakening. SMM predicts the rise of zinc price in October will slow down.
