The global nickel supply deficit expanded to 6,700 tonnes in August, according to The International Nickel Study Group (INSG).

SHANGHAI, Oct. 18 (SMM) – The global nickel supply deficit expanded to 6,700 tonnes in August, according to The International Nickel Study Group (INSG).

In August, the global refined nickel output was flat at 176,800 tonnes, while demand grew from July’s 182,500 tonnes to 183,500 tonnes.

The July’s supply deficit was revised from 4,700 tonnes to 5,700 tonnes.
