BMW is considering building a JV with China’s automaker Great Wall, according to a source.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – BMW is considering building a JV with China’s automaker Great Wall, according to a source.

A high-ranking official at BMW said BMW is looking at the possibility of opening an assembly plant in Changshu city in east China, but did not disclose which types of cars would be assembled.

The official said it’s still uncertain whether the Chinese government has approved the deal.
