India's gold imports rose sharply in September as jewelers increased purchases ahead of a festival at the end of the month.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – India's gold imports rose sharply in September as jewelers increased purchases ahead of a festival at the end of the month.

According to preliminary data from GFMS, India's gold imports were up 31% in September from a year ago.
