LME Nickel to Fluctuate around USD 11,000/mt (2017-10-11)

On Wednesday, LME nickel is expected to fluctuate around USD 11,000/mt, and SHFE 1801 nickel will trade between RMB 87,700-88,700/mt.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – Eyes should be on the Seventh Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, beginning on Wednesday and to end on October 14.

On Wednesday, LME nickel is expected to fluctuate around USD 11,000/mt, and SHFE 1801 nickel will trade between RMB 87,700-88,700/mt, and in China’s domestic spot market, nickel price is estimated between RMB 87,600-89,000/mt.

[SMM Nickel Flash] The SMM average price of 10-12% high-grade NPI fell 17.2 yuan/mtu WoW to 1,035.8 yuan/mtu (ex-factory, tax included), while the Indonesia NPI FOB index average price dropped 2.06 $/mtu WoW to 131.2 $/mtu. At the beginning of the week, futures hit limit-down, and nickel prices fell sharply WoW, driving the emergence of arbitrage supplies sold at low prices, leading to a significant decline in high-grade NPI prices.
