China ranked 2nd in proven gold reserves in the world as of 2016, according to the China Gold Association (CGA).

SHANGHAI, Oct. 9 (SMM) - China ranked 2nd in proven gold reserves in the world as of 2016, according to the China Gold Association (CGA).

China Gold Reserves Fall in Late September

China had 12,100 tonnes of proven gold reserves by the year 2016, second only to South Africa, said Zhang Yongtao, Vice Chairman of the China Gold Association (CGA).
