Ferrous Metals Weaken, and Nonferrous Metals Keeps Range-bound Trading

On Thursday, prices of ferrous metals registered relatively big declines at Thursday’s daily closing hours, with coke leading the losses.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (SMM) – On Thursday, prices of ferrous metals registered relatively big declines at Thursday’s daily closing hours, with coke leading the losses.

Ferrous metals market fell quickly after the opening on Thursday, and stopped dropping and stabilized at around 9:30. Finally, DCE coke dipped by more than 6 per cent, and iron ore and coking coal on the DCE slid by over 3 per cent, and SHFE rebar lost more than 1 per cent.

On the nonferrous metals market, prices staged range-bound trading, and kept diverging. SHFE copper, in particular, fluctuated in a wider range, with signs of rising at the tail of trading.
